Reports have surfaced that yet another young hip hop talent has fallen victim to the violence plaguing Chicago. Chi-town rapper Johnny “Johnny Boy Da Prince” Taylor was fatally shot and killed on Wednesday.
The Chicago Tribune reports that the 23 year-old was shot several times in the Garfield Park section of the city and left for dead in an alley. He is the second aspiring Chicago rapper to be killed within the last two weeks. Ulyseees “Chris” Gissendanner III, who is reportedly the stepbrother of Chief Keef, was killed on January 2.
The Chicago police are yet to establish a motive for Taylor’s killing. Close friends and family members say it may be a case of mistaken identity.
He leaves behind a 4 year old son.
