An arrest warrant has been issued for the arrest of former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson after he failed to appear for a meeting with his probation officer.
Johnson was sentenced to a year probation last September after pleading no contest to domestic violence charges. He was jailed for head-butting his then wife Evelyn Lozada.
Lozada filed for divorce following that incident after being married for just over a month. The divorce was finalized in August.
A state attorney in Broward County confirmed that the warrant was issued for Johnson’s arrest on May 7.
