A Louisiana judge has just issued an arrest warrant for rapper Lil Flip after missing a court hearing for weapon and drug possession charges earlier today.
A source close to the Houston rapper says he was unaware that he needed to be in court. Lil Flip is being held in contempt of court, but is hopeful his lawyer can sort everything out.
Last December the rapper was held in Mansfield, L.A. for speeding, at which time the police found an AR-15 assault rifle and marijuana in the car. Flip reportedly had a Texas license for the gun, which he claimed was valid in 21 states, also claiming the alleged drugs found was actually just tobacco.
The Houston rapper has pleaded not guilty on all charges stemming from the reported incident.
