Blake fails to advance to 100m final


Yohan Blake will miss the 2015 World Championship in Beijing, China after he finished sixth in the 100m final on Friday, June 26.

The race, which was held at the National Stadium in Kingston was won by former world record holder, Asafa Powell in 10.04 seconds. He was followed by Nesta Carter who ran 10.13 seconds, Andrew Fisher was third in 10.20.

Olympian Michael Frater was fifth in 10.33 seconds, he will participate in the final set for 9:15 pm.

Nickel Ashmeade won the other semi-final in 10.21, ahead of Kemar Bailey-Cole in 10.30. Tyquendo Tracey was third in 10.30 seconds.
