If you’re not a fan of Cameron Diaz, you’re gonna want to stay away from movie theaters, book stores and now, shoe e-stores. In short: Try to love her.
In addition to three movies due this year and pushing her new health book, the 41-year-old actress created a line of shoes with Pour La Victoire. For the brands Fall 2014 collection, Diaz worked with the NYC-based team to create shoes and handbags priced between $250-to-$500. Last summer Diaz became the artistic director of the brand’s parent company, PLV Studio.
“In fashion you have pre-fall, fall, holiday,” Diaz told WWD about the challenge in creating a line. “You have all these little mini collections that you have to do. I can’t keep track of it. It’s literally not my language. But I’m trying to learn it. They are teaching me and I’m learning from them, and they are learning from me.”
From looking at some of the pieces, the collection taps into the actresses sleek style sensibilities. No bold colors, no complicated design. Just smooth leather on riding boots, mules and pointed-toe booties.
