DKNY Opens Pop-Up Concept Shop In New York


Top brand DKNY is the latest retailer to open a shop in New York’s Flatiron District neighborhood. The 2,000 square foot space was opened on Friday on Fifth Avenue and has a pop-up concept.

According to WWD, the brand has had much success with the concept shop in Century City Mall in Los Angeles. DKNY’s President of Retail Carol Sharpe said, “We were looking at all the key neighborhoods. We knew we wanted to test this here. We knew the brand would get more visibility in New York City.”

If you visit the shop, you will find DKNY pure jeans and other fashion items. However there is a possibility that assortment could change. Sharpe pointed out that, “we can change the assortment really easily depending on what the neighborhood reacts to, it really has a point of view.”

Shoppers will also get a chance to walk away with a bag stamped with a “DKNY Flatiron Pop–Up Open” icon which includes a grid map showing exactly where to find the store.
