Four years ago, young designer Jason Wu became a household name after the then new first lady Michelle Obama wore one of his dresses at the inaugural ball.
Since then, Wu was able to collaborate with Target and launch Miss Wu. He was also chosen once again to design a dress for the first lady for the celebration. Wu designed a custom made chiffon and velvet dress that the First Lady was able to show off during her dance with the President to “Lets Stay Together”, sing by Jennifer Hudson.
The red gown, styled with a high neckline and draped back, was breath taking. The first lady wore Jimmy Choo shoes with the stunning piece.
The designer has had a successful past few years, and designing for the first lady on this momentous day was nothing short of amazing.
