Motown: The Musical Is A Big Hit


Motown may be over fifty years old, but it still continues to produce big hits. Motown: The Musical, is a Broadway show which details the rise of Berry Gordy, the founder of Motown and the relationship he had with Diana Ross.

The musical has reportedly earned $1 million from seven shows in its first week of previews. It stars Tony nominee Brandon Victor Dixon (The Color Purple) and Valisia Lekae (The Book of Mormon) playing the roles of Gordy and Ross. The cast is rounded out by Raymond Luke Jr., Jibreel Mawry, Bryan Terrell Clarke and Charl Brown.

Motown: The Musical will officially open on April 14.
