Seattle based retailer, Nordstrom, is ending 2013 on a high note. Not only did it rank number 3 on Google’s 2013 trend report, but they also managed to hold on to their number 1 ranking as the nation’s favorite fashion retailer for the second consecutive year.
According to WWD, Market Force Information Inc.’s year-end retail preference study found that, in a survey 6,821 U.S. and Canadian consumers, Nordstrom was a clear favorite. The survey, which measures consumer preferences, consists of eight categories, in which Nordstrom was said to have receive “top grade” overall but also in five categories. Among the categories in which they excelled were, “atmosphere, return policy and associates who were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.” They also ranked highly for their loyalty program and merchandise selection, placing fourth and fifth, respectively.
Khol’s, Macy’s, J.C Penney and TJ Maxx rounded out the top five, respectively.
