A jury has ordered that rapper Waka Flocka Flame pay a North Carolina man over $500,000 in damages. This stems from an injury he received in a parking lot during a shooting incident last year.
Reports indicate that the man, aspiring rapper Antonio Stukes, was shot by Flocka’s security guards after he approached the rapper outside of a Car Stereo Warehouse while he was attempting to hand him a demo CD.
In his defense, Waka’s attorneys argued that Stukes had approached the rapper in a threatening manner. Stukes reportedly suffered a wound to the shoulder as a result of the shooting incident. Flocka was ordered to pay him $501,000 in compensatory and punitive damages via his management company, Mizay Entertainment.
Stukes’ attorney Adam Seifer said, “The jury came down in our favor and really hit them hard.”
