On Monday night, U.S. President Barack Obama marked the start of Passover with a private Seder at the White House.
Obama started the tradition in 2008 during his presidential candidacy when he joined the Jewish staff members celebrating on the campaign trail. Since then he has kept up the tradition yearly with a small group of aides and friends.
Passover Seder is a feast signifying the start of the weeklong celebration Passover, which is celebrates the freedom of the Jewish people from slavery in ancient Egypt.
