R Kelly, the lord of contemporary soul music, is main event during the current year’s Groovin In The Park, which comes back to Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, New York on June 25.
It will be the vocalist’s first appearance on the show which praises its ninth year.
“R Kelly is amped up for Groovin In The Park and we are similarly amped up for having him on our line up. We followed him in 2012 yet it never worked out, however this year we could take care of business,” read an announcement from promoters.
Just like the custom, the occasion mixes classes to suit the varied tastes of a to a great extent West Indian gathering of people. Freddie McGregor, Ken Boothe, Leroy Sibbles and the Reggae Symphony Orchestra are likewise on the card.

Coordinators say Groovin In The Park develops every year. In 2016, more than 25,000 fans went to the show, the biggest since its origin.
