Although the excitement from Fashion Month has officially come to a close, October brings a whole new dose of style to the runway: Bridal Fashion Week! And while we can’t wait to see designs from heavy hitters like Carolina Herrera, Marchesa and Monique Lhuillier, it looks like the biannual event is welcoming a new factor of fun.
Reem Acra recently sent its fall 2016 bridal collection down the runway, but this time around; the dresses weren’t the only things that were being showcased. In addition to the lingerie-inspired range, models showed face on the catwalk with what appeared to be a wedding-themed selfie-stick – you know, to catch those priceless moments that just wouldn’t be the same with a photographer around.
The self-snapping device was designed with just enough glitz to pair perfectly with any bride-to-be: glitter, sequins and bows. But that wasn’t the only dose of technology infused into the breathless collection. Acra also introduced tiara-inspired headphones that were similar in design – which proved the bridal industry’s open arms to technology’s must-have accessories.
