Robin Thicke is determined to get that love thing back, and word is he’s committed his next album to his efforts, calling it Paula.
He and his wife, actress Paula Patton, shockingly split in February. The two were high school sweethearts, married in 2005, and have a young son together, born in 2010.
They were seemingly inseparable, and have showed numerous times to support each other’s career moments. Patton, for example, appears in his “Lost Without U” video, a song that he’s been dedicating to her at recent shows.
Although sources say Paula’s hesitant to reunite, Robin’s been steady working at it. Last month, he debuted a new song, “Get Her Back,” at the Billboard Music Awards. “I should’ve kissed you longer/ I should’ve held you stronger/ And I’ll wait for forever for you to love me again,” he crooned.
Though further details are scant about the full collection (and whether or not “Get Her Back” is included in it), a release date has been set for July 1, and Robin has apparently written and produced it entirely by himself.
He’ll be performing more new music at the BET Awards later this month.
