Former member of the Temptations, Richard Street, passed away on Wednesday at a Los Angeles hospital after a brief illness. Street was 70 years old.
A Detroit native, Street joined the lineup of the Temptations in the early 70’s and remained with the band for 25 years.
Street is the second member of the Motown band to pass away within a week. One time lead singer, Otis “Damon” Harris died later last week after a long battle with prostate cancer.
Streets wife, Cindy, a former Motown vocalist, who has reported that funeral plans are incomplete but will be held sometime later this week, in Cypress, California. She described her husband as “a really good person.” He will surely be remembered for his time and legendary work with the Temptations.
