The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Is Moving To London

It’s possible we should have seen this coming, but the Angels are hopping across the pond it seems. Just this morning in London, Victoria’s Secret’s chief marketing officer Ed Razek announced that this year the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is going to be held in London on December 2 at London’s Earl’s Court, reports Women’s Wear Daily.
It’s a move the brand has wanted to make for some time apparently, since 1998 Razek said. (Perhap’s last year’s ‘British Invasion” was a bit of foreshadowing, eh?) Adriana Lima and Candice Swanepoel were there for the announcement at the brand’s newest store in Great Britain, and Lima mentioned she’d love to see Elton John and Prince Harry in attendance at this year’s show.
British celebs and models alike are sure to be happy at the move, especially angels like Cara Delevigne and Jourdan Dunn who call the city home.
The fashion show’s hop across the pond seems like part of a power move by the lingerie retailer to continue to increase the brand’s presence throughout the U.K. No entertainment acts are booked yet, but costume prep is underway–a process we know to be intense and time consuming.
Our dream act? The Spice Girls, obviously. But hey, we’d follow the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show anywhere.
