Williams became a wanted man after he didn’t appear for his arraignment on Wednesday. The permed funnyman is being charged with assault, harassment and obstruction charges stemming from his bar fight in Seattle three weeks ago.
Following the fight, during which Williams allegedly threatened a bar manager with a pool cue and threw a cigarette at a woman, Williams was arrested.
Williams’ attorney was reportedly at the arraignment, claiming his client didn’t appear because of a “medical issue.”
The judge, unmoved by the attorney’s explanation, immediately issued the bench warrant for Williams’ arrest. Along with this latest run-in with the law, the comedian also has to contend with fans seeking justice from his on-stage wrath.
Last Friday, a video was released of Williams also assaulting a man with a microphone during his time in Seattle at the Paramount Theater. The assault victim, Carlos Casto-Lino, filed a $250,000 lawsuit against Katt and the theater.
